We are pleased to present a forward-focused webinar honouring the families of the victims and the officer who died in Portapique and surrounds on April 18-19th 2020. We review the findings of the Mass Casualty Commission with a focus on what's next.

The moderator will be Norm Taylor, Editor in Chief of the Journal of Community Safety and Well-being.

We have confirmed the eminent Professor Kent Roach LLM QC  and Professor Eli Sopow PhD as participants.  Professor Roach was quoted numerous times in the MCC final report. Professor Sopow was the Director of Change Management of the RCMP for over a decade.

Ms. Sandra McCulloch of Patterson Law, Halifax. will also participate and we are very pleased she has chosen to do so.   She represented some of the families of the victims and if they consent she will participate with the Professors.

The Mass Casualty Commission reported on March 30th.   They have provided multiple recommendations in the areas of intimate family violence, education of officers, changing the RCMP culture and improving the response to Critical Incidents.  The Recommendations as a list are available here.

Our expert panel will discuss the implications of the MCC recommendations including the best opportunities for implementation of what is in essence transformational change.

Join us to clarify how the MCC recommendations can progress to the actions that are needed to elevate police professionalism in Canada.

Fully interactive:  We LOVE your Questions so join us live!

Revenue from webinar registration or membership sales funds presentation of webinars and general administrative expenses of the organization.  Our single biggest expenditure is the Wild Apricot membership management software which hosts the website & enables events and membership and contact management.  As revenue grows we hope to commence a literature review or a broad engagement with Canadians.
